DOUBLE EXPOSURE: CELEBRATING GAINESVILLE, FL’S PAST AND ENVISIONING ITS FUTURE
In recognition of Gainesville, FL’s 150th Anniversary and Black History Month, the Bailey Learning and Arts Collective, (BLAAC) Inc. and the City of Gainesville Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department will sponsor a competition celebrating African American artists’ vision of Gainesville, Florida’s past and future. This competition is open to African American visual artists and poets. Submissions should depict old Gainesville or a vision of future Gainesville. Judges will choose 10 finalists in each category and announce the winners on January 31, 2020, at a reception at the Rosa B. Williams Center.

Work by winners and finalists will be displayed at the Rosa B Williams Center through February 16, 2020.
