The Gainesville150! History Hunt is an engaging trivia race that journeys through 150 years of Gainesville history. Contestant teams receive clues and seek out actors stationed throughout Depot Park portraying key figures and events from each of the City’s 15 decades.

On of the signature events of the Gainesville150! anniversary, the History Hunt will provide an opportunity to increase community pride as teams engage in a collaborative competition centered around some of the city’s historical events and locations.

Gainesville150! History Hunt is a free, family-friendly event at Depot Park on Sunday, November 3 to have fun while learning about Gainesville’s history. The entire park and surrounding areas will be the boundary for the interactive game. The competition round begins at 1 p.m. and the non-competitive round begins at 3 p.m. Put together your team of two to five people and pre-register on eventbrite at https://tinyurl.com/gnvHistoryHunt. If you don’t have a team, we will pair you with other history hunters or just come to the park and watch. There will be food trucks and a kids zone.
