Harley O’Neill

Harley O’Neill is a producer and movement artist who studies the ever-evolving dance realms of contemporary, jazz, and hip hop, and how they fuse with urban flow styles both ancient and emerging. She has been fortunate enough to practice contemporary, East African, hip hop, jazz, and tap all over the world. Incorporating the cultural awareness and rich dance history she has learned from her travels has allowed her choreographic ideas to remain vibrant, knowledgeable, and versatile- which she considers personal responsibilities to uphold as an artist and mentor in the performance world. Her work now constantly aspires to make dance more accessible, informed, and meaningful to new and advanced movers alike; finding ways to bridge mindful movement and storytelling has become her ultimate practice. She is currently sharing her findings throughout her home-state of Florida (and online), where she holds Flow & Embodiment classes, Groove Gatherings, and creative relationship-building endeavors for her fellow arts and performance communities. Her favorite collaborations involve telling real stories through film and video alongside her colleagues. You can find her in the recent musical-explainer production of “The Global HER Act” directed by Mary John Frank, and featuring Broadway stars Lexi Lawson, Nicole Kang, and Phoenix Best.
